Advent & Christmas Services 2012

Advent means “coming” and is the season of watching and waiting and preparing for the Christmas season. Advent is a season of expectation: “The king shall come.” The colour for Advent is violet and the season is marked by the lighting of candles.
Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ where “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” At Christmas we celebrate that God is with us. Carols are sung, gifts are given and the colour for the season is white.
